Richard Moring
Director
Richard has been fascinated by finance from his teenage years; so not very long!
Richard entered the mortgage market in 1987, working for various lenders before joining Shipways estate agents as a Mortgage Advisor.
Life was good until the recession of 2008 made surviving as an employee of a company very difficult. In January 2009 Richard set up RM Mortgage Solutions using the skills learnt in his previous roles to ensure that clients were provided with the best possible service. Being in the midst of a deep recession wasn’t the best time to start a business but Richard was determined to make it a success.
In discussing mortgages in plain English, Richard believes that his clients experience a better understanding of the mortgage process and that the excellent service the company strives to provide is what makes so many clients keep returning; as well as providing referrals to friends and family.
Richard’s 35+ years’ experience providing independent mortgage advice has made him an expert in dealing with all sorts of quirky mortgage situations; not just the straight forward cases. Richard has helped clients who are self-employed, have limited company structures, have bad credit and many other scenarios.
In his spare time Richard enjoys trying new food experiences, walking, gets satisfaction from DIY (when it goes right!) and working out the perp in crime dramas.

Chris Moring
Mortgage & Protection Advisor
Chris went to Aston University achieving a 1st class honours in Business and Management. The degree was a 4-year sandwich course, the third year of which was spent in the workplace.
Chris chose to join RM Mortgage Solutions for his sandwich year where he also studied for (and successfully completed) his CeMAP exams. It was this experience that convinced Chris that he wanted to become a fully qualified Mortgage and Protection Advisor.
It didn’t take long for Chris to hone his analytical skills to be able to look at a scenario, analyse it and work out a suitable solution. He has become an expert in obtaining mortgages for clients with layered company structures, the self-employed and people with non-standard income streams; as well as portfolio landlords.
Chris is a big Aston Villa fan (but please don’t hold that against him) and enjoys walking his dog – Nova, in his spare time. He also enjoys travelling as well as eating Italian & Mexican food when not binging movies on Netflix.

Emma Law
Mortgage & Protection Advisor
Since joining RM Mortgage Solutions Emma has really enjoyed the variety of work she has seen. She takes great satisfaction from being able to find solutions and will always go the extra mile to find a resolution to a complex scenario.
Emma has not always been in the mortgage industry but began her working life in the banking sector before moving over to hospitality. This led her to purchase and run her own pub.
However, family commitments have caused her to change career path. Emma believes that between the two industries many skills are transferable and feels that she brings a wealth of customer service and management knowledge to her current role; allowing her to build great relationships with her clients.
Emma considers a good work life balance essential with 3 children and a dog creating a pretty hectic home life. She is often juggling football, dancing, swimming lessons and everything in between, although she does try to find a bit of time to watch a good film and enjoy a gin or two.
